Submission terms & privacy notice

These terms apply to submissions to the Xanadu Originals open call, run by Iconova Creative Outreach Network Private Limited, with its registered office at 410, Tulsiani Chambers, Free Press Journal Marg, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400021 ("Xanadu", "we"). The version in force when you submit applies to your submission.

Submission release

You must be 18 or older. If you submit on behalf of a company or team, you must be authorised to do so.

You confirm that you own or control the rights to the material you submit and are authorised to share it. This includes the rights needed for any adaptation of an existing work or any story based on real events or people. You also confirm that the people you name in your application know you are sharing their details with us.

You keep all rights in your submission. You allow us to store, copy and share your submission within our team and with our professional advisers, solely to assess it and to contact you about it.

Xanadu Studio receives many submissions and develops its own projects. You acknowledge that Xanadu may already be developing, or may later receive, ideas similar to yours, and that this does not by itself create any obligation to you. Submitting does not create any confidential, fiduciary or implied contractual relationship between you and Xanadu. We recommend registering your work, for example with the Screenwriters Association, before submitting.

Submitting creates no obligation for Xanadu to review, respond to, produce or pay for your project. We intend to select up to five projects at our sole discretion, and we may not give reasons for our decisions. Nothing is binding until you and Xanadu sign a separate written agreement, which will set out ownership, credit and compensation.

Xanadu never charges a fee to apply or to be selected. We contact applicants only from @xanadustudio.ai addresses.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit to assess your project and to contact you about it. To help our team review submissions, we use AI tools to summarise and evaluate applications and to research publicly available information about the people and companies named in them. A member of our team makes every decision.

We do not use your submission to train AI models, including ARC. Our service providers are contractually restricted from doing so.

We don't sell your information. Unfinished applications are deleted after 30 days. Submissions that are not selected are deleted 24 months after the call closes.

To access, correct or delete your submission, email contact@xanadustudio.ai with your reference. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction.
